A fun and challenging course that is run on Land Trust Trails that are shared with Alabama A&M on Chapman Mountain. There will be grass, gravel, and dirt sections. To get to the Chapman Mountain parking area take HWY 72 W from Moore’s Mill Rd, stay in the far right merge lane as you go up the mountain, when the guard rail ends turn right. If you are coming from Madison or downtown Huntsville on I565 heading East you will need to make a U-turn at Moore’s Mill Rd.
Eurocross is the perfect combination of the athleticism and spectator attraction of steeplechase with the challenge and varied terrain of cross-country. The 5K race will be the same as previous years. It will involve running multiple loops of a 1K grass and dirt course with creek crossings.
The entire course is visible from the spectator area, making it a crowd pleaser--so bring your fan club!

It is the time for season best performances, PRs, and excellent competition. We hope to bring the best line up in the nation together on May 22nd - 23rd for our distance carnival in Huntsville, Alabama.

$800 in Prize Money!! 10k male/female: 1st $125, 2nd $100, 3rd $75, Master $50, Grand Master $50.
Finishers Medals for 10k and 5k. Fun Run awards for the kids. Runners can participate in the 5K, 10K, 5k/10K Double or the all ages Fun Run. The 10K and 5K courses are flat and fast. The first 3.5 miles of the 10K are run through quiet residential streets. The finish of the 10K and the entire 5K is run on the park and golf course perimeter road which runs along the beautiful Tennessee River. The 5K course is an out-and-back and the 10K is a loop. The Fun Run is a loop of the paved perimeter trail around the Spirit of America field.
The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.
We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The post race party will be hopping with dozens of vendors and live music!

The Annual Ellen McAnelly Memorial St. Patrick's Day Parade is held in downtown Huntsville and has been a Huntsville tradition since 1978. It was started by the owner of Finnegan's Pub, Ellen McAnelly - a native of Galway, Ireland.

One of the Southeast's Oldest and largest trails runs, Mountain Mist features a tour of the Monte Sano State Park and the Huntsville Land Trust Trails of North Alabama. Rocky, rough well maintained trails through the State park among rock walls, stone cuts, sink holes and to the very bottom of the mountain. Runners work their way back up through Land Trust trails from Oak Park eventually up the infamous Waterline Trail and finishing up the last 6 miles through the brutal McKay Hollow.
