The Southern Showcase is a 2-day cross-country meet directed by Huntsville High School and Jacksonville State University. This meet brings more than 150 teams and 5,000+ runners to John Hunt Park in Huntsville, AL. Following the college meet on Friday evening is the high school portion of the Southern Showcase which will take place on Saturday morning.
It's (almost) time to book your tickets to run Boston! The Boston or Bust Marathon will be an extremely flat and fast course along Aldridge Creek and Tennessee River in South Huntsville. The course will start and finish at Ditto Landing Marina and is entirely on the Alridge Creek Greenway.
We will have Chip Timing and both half and full marathon courses will be certified.
..And then there's the post race party. We will have post race food for all finishers, 2 drink tickets, post race music, all at the Ditto Landing Marina Pavilion. We believe in training hard, racing hard and celebrating hard and this race will be no different!
Historically the last window to qualify for the following April Boston race is the second weekend in September. This is one of the very few last minute qualifiers in the South. Average Temperatures at this time of year are 64F/ 87F which is why we will start at 6:00AM.
The guaranteed t-shirt deadline has passed however we will have extras along with RunningLane shirts for those last minute signups so you don't go home empty handed.
All aid stations will have water, gatorade and GU energy gels.

The 5K and 1 Mile will start and finish at beautiful Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville. Both courses will be USATF Certified courses as well as Sanctioned events. We're excited to make this the premier July 4th race in the Tennessee Valley taking you through the beautiful streets of Downtown Huntsville as well as Old Town.

Eurocross is the perfect combination of the athleticism and spectator attraction of steeplechase with the challenge and varied terrain of cross-country. The 5K race will be the same as previous years. It will involve running multiple loops of a 1K grass and dirt course with creek crossings.
The entire course is visible from the spectator area, making it a crowd pleaser--so bring your fan club!
The race starts at the beautiful Bridge Street Town Center in Huntsville AL and runs through Cummings Research Park, the nations 2nd largest research park in the US.
We will have a Chip Timing start and several pacing groups available. The post race party will be hopping with dozens of vendors and live music!
Average Temperatures for this time of year are 48F for the low and 72F for the high.

One of the Southeast's Oldest and largest trails runs, Mountain Mist features a tour of the Monte Sano State Park and the Huntsville Land Trust Trails of North Alabama. Rocky, rough well maintained trails through the State park among rock walls, stone cuts, sink holes and to the very bottom of the mountain. Runners work their way back up through Land Trust trails from Oak Park eventually up the infamous Waterline Trail and finishing up the last 6 miles through the brutal McKay Hollow.
The Rocket City Marathon has been a fixture in North Alabama for over 45 years. Enjoy a scenic, Boston qualifying course that runs through parts of historic Huntsville, through the Space & Rocket Center, through the Botanical Gardens, and finishes inside the Von Braun Center.
